Due to the COVID-19 crisis, MWTCC is rescheduled to take place on June 2 – 4, 2022.

On June 2 – 4, 2022, for the first time in more than ten years, the Midwest Theoretical Chemistry Conference (MWTCC) returns to the Ohio State University. The 52nd MWTCC will bring together theoretical and computational chemists from around the Midwest region to share their latest research.

The MWTCC program will include one keynote and four invited talks, a large number of contributed talks from faculty, postdocs and students, a banquet, and two lively poster sessions.

4:30 – 5:30 pm: Check-in (PRB lobby)
5:00 – 9:00 pm: Two poster sessions (A & B), pizza, and beverages (PRB lobby)

June 3, 2022 (Friday):
8:00 – 9:00 am: Check-in (outside of Stillman Hall 100)
8:30 am – 5:30 pm: Invited and contributed talks (Stillman Hall 100)
6:00 – 9:00 pm: Conference banquet and keynote talk (The Blackwell hotel)

June 4, 2022 (Saturday):
8:30 am – 12:30 pm: Invited and contributed talks (Stillman Hall 100)
12:30 – 1:00 pm: Concluding remarks (Stillman Hall 100)

Ohio State University is located in an urban area north of the downtown Columbus, Ohio. The 52nd MWTCC will take place in the northern part of the OSU campus, in a close proximity to the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry.


Several public parking lots are available at the Ohio State campus, close to all conference events. For information about parking lots and their availability, please check OSU CampusParc website.


OSU campus is conveniently located just about 15 minute drive from the John Glenn Columbus International Airport (CMH). The Columbus airport offers direct flights to almost all major cities in the US. Taxi and ride share services from the airport to the OSU campus are available for participants who choose to travel by plane.

Conference venues:

The poster sessions will be organized on Thursday, June 2, in the lobby of the Physics Research Building (PRB).

All of the contributed and invited talks will take place in the Stillman Hall room 100.

The MWTCC conference banquet and the keynote talk will take place in the Blackwell hotel, which is located about 15 minutes by foot from the conference room in the Stillman Hall.
